This book is two inches tick but point is, it's price on Amazon is so low for all great stories by early Garth Ennis and humour that is rarely present in today's mainstream. Marc Silvestri illustrations too, people!!!

Turn away from the light...

Bought this collection of comics after playing the video game adaptation and i'm very glad i did. Its got 40+ issues and the story as well as the art is great. Definately worth the money considering how many issues you get.

Only complaints are that some issues are missing so the you'll read the story and miss out on a key event because it was in a crossover or issue not included. Also it is HUGE and because it is so thick and heavy, you have to be quite careful not to open it too much as to not wreck the binding.

Other than those minor things its definately worth the money and i would definately recommend it.

Darkness With A Few Flaws

Reviewed by OUFAN1, 2009-03-10

Ok I am new to The Darkness so I thought the compendium would be a great way to start. The story lines are great and the art work is fantastic. I do, however, have a few complaints. There are two flaws that kept me from giving it five stars. One: there are times that the story line goes way out in left field and you have to have read "witchblade" and "batman" in order to know what is really going on. This was very upsetting and messed up the continuing story line. Second: A lot of the great art work and dialouge was lost in the fold of the book. I'm very careful with all of my graphic novels and refuse to "bend" the pages back far enough to see and read every tender morsel of the story for fear of messing up the book. Overall, the book was well worth the price.

Good buy for the price

This is a pretty good purchase if you want to get mostly up to speed on 'The Darkness' comic. There are gaps here and there, such as events that occur in Witchblade and the Darkness/Batman crossover, but you get the meat of the story overall.

The Darkness Is Spreading

A great buy for Darkness fans. Though it took two weeks just to ship and the sender didnt bother wraping it in any kind of plastic to protect it during shipping so my copy has a few minor rips in the spin. Other then that great condition and a great read.
